We ship with everything you need to start using on delivery. Simply plug into the wall power socket, and then attach your devices.

As the unit is an XL type it has provision to add extra cells (48VDC rail) via the rear connector. This can be handy for home energy storage, or for example creating massive run times by attaching to a fork lift truck battery bank.

In addition to that the XL units are the golden-engineered from APC. They have always been more thoroughly reworked when compared to the none XL type and have a reputation. For example larger capacitor banks and much bigger transformers than you might expect. When unloading pallets we know that its an XL or not just by weight alone. We like them, and we like selling them as they are dependable. They are a heavy duty UPS with a well designed internal layout (for cooling). They have a fan that is on all of the time.

The UPS has been thoroughly tested, and comes with brand new cells so you can expect it to work long term. We stand by this with our 12m RTB warranty. The nominal SLA cell life that we are seeing from repeat business from customers is between 3 and 7 years depending on the use profile and installation site temperature (cooler is better for SLA cells).

The unit is a heavy duty, modern design that you can currently see online for £1300-1950 new. Our units are refurbished but will perform the same. They are cheaper and will have signs of previous use (painting touched up or resprayed where needed). As the cells are new the power support runtimes will be the same as a new UPS from APC. We are supplying with a warranty.

It can be used as a rackmount unit or a tower.

We normally stock rails that will accept this UPS - email before ordering to see what we have. Likewise with network cards - we have a range and can quote the options.

We can ship with the cells out of the UPS if you need to manhandle on delivery and do not have weightlifters handy.

Under normal circumstances orders before 3PM are dispatched on the day of order. Large units / quantities may roll over to being dispatched the next day. Email if you need to be sure of when we can send an order. We try to meet all customer deadlines.

All of our consignments are sent fully insured on a 24 hour service with our carriers. We cover all problems that occur in transit. We can ship to the EU (transit time varies) and have experience packing and shipping to overseas destinations. The EU shipping costs are estimated only, please contact us for confirmation before ordering. We have experience sending these abroad, and normally ship the UPS in one box and the cellpacks in another. We have the packing materials to make sure that there are no problems in transit. Our warehouse is based in the UK. VAT is included in the buy it now price, and if you are VAT registered you will be able to reclaim this. VAT Invoices are sent automatically as a PDF file, via email, as part of our automated dispatch process.
